This is one of our newest, and most effective outreach/prayer projects at Holy Faith. A group of members stay busy crocheting, knitting and quilting beautiful shawls for the downcast and depressed. While these shawls are being created, the intended giftee is prayed for by the person making the shawl as well as the whole group.

The group meets once or twice a month to visit, pray and "check out" each other's handiwork. The shawl is then presented to the giftee with an additional blessing and prayer that they would "feel the loving arms of their savior and lord around" them as they wear the shawl.

Getting together to bless the shawls has been very emotional at times and has made us aware of the heartfelt concern and love our group has for our fellow man in our church family and in the world outside. We are blessed that so many have been "touched" by our efforts to share God's peace and comfort.
